Is this Information useful?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?URL=/library/devprods/vs6/visualc/vccore/_core_the_search_path_used_by_windows_to_locate_a_dll.htm
-----
...
- The directory where the executable module for the current process
is located.
- The current directory.
- The Windows system directory. The GetSystemDirectory function
retrieves the path of this directory.
- The Windows directory. The GetWindowsDirectory function retrieves
the path of this directory.
- The directories listed in the PATH environment variable.

Using argv[0], getcwd(), GetSystemDirectory() and GetWindowsDirectory()
and getenv("PATH") one should be able to generate a proper search path
listing in phpinfo()?
