Not listed on freshmeat. Google finds it. Part of OpenBSD, NetBSD
and FreeBSD, available seperately, as RPM and source,

CVSweb of NetBSD lists it as
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/basesrc/lib/libedit/
libedit is supposed to be readline compatible, it seems
