bzclose      -> bz_close
bzcompress -> bz_compress bzdecompress -> bz_decompress
bzerrno      -> bz_errno
bzerror      -> bz_error
bzerrstr     -> bz_errstr
bzflush      -> bz_flush
bzopen       -> bz_open
bzread       -> bz_read
bzwrite      -> bz_write
Can anyone see a problem with the proposed name changes?
*** What is the difference between error ad errstr ? Maybe errstr should be changed to errmsg ? (Did I say that elsewhere ? ;-) As the file extension is .bz2, maybe the prefix should be bz2_ as well (it's an algorithm, not a version right ?) Comparing Gzip and Bzip2 functions :
bz_close                gz_close
bz_compress             gz_compress
bz_decompress gz_uncompress --> Something must be done here.

bz_open         gz_open
