Heh :) All editors have their own key-commands... vi's just all happen
to be within reach rather than having to do CTRL-ALT-PGDN or something
:)

He makes a really good point... several of my friends (even my mac-only
designer friend) have asked about it and complained it's too hard... I
just tell them to go through the tutorial that comes with it and then
use it for *everything* all the time... that way you learn it well. If
you can't do something figure it out then and there... otherwise you'll
always hate it (same goes for emacs I'm sure). My wife used to hate vim
and swore by pico, but eventually she started using vim... now she can't
figure out how she ever lived without it.
And if you are ever going to do things on unix, one of these days you'll
find yourself connected via telnet/serial line/dumb terminal (ie 80x24
ascii only) needing to do something and the only editor available will
be vi... definately no homesite...
