for your information, CVS version does not compile on old version of ubuntu (Dapper and Edgy). I have build minimal developpement environment using debootstrap. Both use a little older version of Gtk+. dapper : Gtk+ 2.8.17-1ubuntu5 edgy : Gtk+ 2.10.6-0ubuntu3 feisty : Gtk+ 2.10.11-0ubuntu3 (current version) You can find compilation log at this address for Edgy : http://php-gtk.pastebin.ca/570146 It is not really important to solve this problem. We can focus on recent linux distributions.
