Other features File_CSV has which fgetcsv can not do: * CSV format autodetection * CSV file error detection * It handles quoted multiline fields So I would not say File_CSV is redundant :)Neither would I. Look at all of the comments at http://www.php.net/fgetcvs. All of those scripts are doing something above and beyond what fgetcvs does, and that stuff (and more, perhaps) should be in File_CSV. -- Marshall Roch
