How long do we have to wait for the new package proposal to be accepted ? The documentation says :Go on, line em up, and shot our wonderfull doc team:) when the vote has finished = log into the website, select the 'New Package' link - fill in the details.. - a message gets sent to pear-group. - at this point, you can not upload the release until pear-group approves it. Logic: At present the approval process is not tied into the voting system.. It also gives a human check into the system.. I guess the logic is, if you can wait two weeks for the voting process, a day or so (at worse) delay releasing it, is not that bad.. Regards Alan
"The registration process is quite straightforward: Fill out the form on this site and submit the information. After you have done that, the PEAR Group has to finally approve your submission. This usually happens in A FEW HOURS and you will be notified about it via email." What is the internal process in the PEAR Group for this validation ? Does the PEAR Group has to vote for that too, in which case it might take more than a few hours ? And last question, what is the point of this final validation step by the PEAR Group ?
