No, I know -- was mostly a joke. I was referring to messages like this from awhile ago: ---
i think until we have a clear understanding of exceptions and their good uses in pear we should refrain (exceptions being done on a case by case basis) from allowing them even for php5 only packages (actually while we are messing with the concept we should allow non stable packages using exceptions).--- But, yes, packages like PHPUni2 make great (and actually fairly clever) use of Exceptions. Exceptions are the greatest thing about PHP5! -- come on in people, the water's great! :) Hans
