I will add a PHP5 constructor, so the package should run if one ignores
E_STRICT.

Absolutely. I dislike manipulating XML in PHP4 using the native
extensions as much as anything about the language. This package -- like
any PEAR package -- is designed to simplify the process of performing an
defined action.
