We are talking about a package to create music playlists, not about
something that will be used by thousands of existing web applications.

If you guys stick to this attitude, PHP 5 will never gain much ground.

So when do you suggest people should start developing new packages for
PHP 5? 5.0.0 has been released more than a year ago (13 July 2004) and
I think it's about time that PEAR starts to wholeheartedly recommend
writing code for it.
If you ask me, I'd even suggest to require all new packages to be
written with PHP 5 syntax.
