Home: $HOME ( /Users/your_user_name )
Desktop: $HOME/Desktop
Documents: $HOME/Documents
Temp: /tmp
Programs: /Applications
Most OS X programs store preferences in:
$HOME/Library/Name_Of_Program

I would also like to include support for Macs, but as I don't have one, I can't test the package.
