That depends on which user you would like to select.Where do I get the user name from? Is there a $USER environment variable? If not, can I useHome: $HOME ( /Users/your_user_name )whoamito get the name?
whoami will not work, as it will return the short user name of the user running the PHP script, most likely "www" on a Mac, and you wouldn't find a user folder for them. Better would be to select a user *first* and then pick the most appropriate system folder.
Is there a difference between the "real name" like "Christian Weiske" and the "user name" like "cweiske"? Which one is used for the home dir?The user name is a short name, not the full name. In your case, it would be /Users/cweiske . -- Nick
