It will help a lot. I am surprised it doesn't exist yet. How do we get the
result when pear remote-list is called ? I thought it was already xml and
then it was parsed by some pear component. Isn't it so ?
It would be good to have a xml-rpc interface to get every possible info
about a package : maintainers, emails, descriptions, versions... upon
request. I don't think this will fit in the bug reporting system but I would
need it to implement a correct GUI. I am probably not the only one who could
benefit from this.
