Perhaps "Mailing lists are more trouble when you're looking for a quick
answer", but certainly not this one.
I almost always found what I needed here. In the rare cases I did not,
Alexey and Bertrand provided quick and efficient expertise.
I will stick to this great ML.
No need to disperse a chap's efforts.

Hi,
Just wondering how many people would be interested in a dedicated
open-browsable (no need to register to read), PHP-PEAR forum for English
speaking end-user developers? There is currently a German only one @
http://www.pear-forum.de/
I feel its something still lacking at the moment. Mailing lists are more
trouble when you're looking for a quick answer, or wanting to keep track of
a discussion. Plus you can't easily follow a thread when you area way from
your main PC.
Would it be worth doing something to get a recognised PEAR forum set-up?
Would people use it? I understand the package developers would probably have
less time to follow all discussions on a forum as well as a mailing list.
For end users it would be much nicer though IMO.
Let me know what you think.
Regards,
