Hi Arnaud, thankyou for your response... LIMBOURG Arnaud wrote:
ps. I'm using apache 1.3.[latest] with windowsXP(sp1) and php 4.3.2(stable). Any help *is* apprecitated. Ok. First, are you behind a proxy ? a proxy requiring authentication ? Yes, I was. I had to ask my system administrator to punch a hole in the corporate firewall just so that I could run go-pear :-(
Since you run 4.3.2, did you launch the go-pear.bat script ? I did, and after temporarily compremising the security of the entire organisation, it worked.
so this is not the problem. I appologise for any confusion, the initial problem was in a thread entitles "pear.bat does not work" (I started this thread separately to discussion the pear package maintanence process in general). None the less, I have posted my original other thread below which outlines the problem. Now that go-pear has worked and I have the basic pear packages, I am trying to use pear.bat to install an additional package, in this case, HTTP. More information is in my original post to this thread. I should have kept it all in the same thread but it was a two-headed issue. Terence Kearns wrote:
I edited my pear.bat file according to the instructions in the comments. it now looks like this set PHP_BIN=c:\php\php.exe set BIN_DIR=c:\php set PEAR_PATH=c:\php\pear %PHP_BIN% -C -d output_buffering=1 -d include_path=%PEAR_PATH% -f %BIN_DIR%\pear -- %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 when I run it, nothing happens. Nothing is printed to consile and the cursor does not come back until I ctrl-C it. when I turn echoing back on, this is the initial output. C:\php>c:\php\php.exe -C -d output_buffering=1 -d include_path=c:\php\pear -f c:\php\pear.php -- package package.xml I'm trying to download HTTP package since go-pear didn't get it. I logged into the CVS and the readme file told me to pear package package.xml so I copied the package.xml file into my c:\php directory and ran the command exactly as specified. any ideas?
