Thank you, gentlemen. I had zend_extension_ts="c:\windows\system\xdebug-4.3.2-1.2.0-win32.dll" xdebug.default_enable = On xdebug.auto_profile = Off xdebug.auto_trace = On xdebug.collect_params = On ... to which I have now added xdebug.output_dir = "c:\" Can you comment on the 'exec' crash? I find it alarming that such a basic call should fail. If I can get any output from xdebug (called just prior to the exec call), I shall post it. Thanks for your advice so far. - Roger - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Knowles" <alan@akbkhome.com> To: <pear-general@lists.php.net>; "Limbourg Arnaud" <arnaud.limbourg.prestataire@cegetel.fr> Cc: "Roger C Haslock" <roger@haslock.com> Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2003 9:08 AM Subject: Re: [PEAR] Trying to install xdebug (was a nightmare) > my php.ini has these lines - to do the automated backtracing.. > > zend_extension=/usr/lib/php4/20020429/xdebug.so > xdebug.collect_params=0 > > you probably need to modify it for win32 a little.. > > Regards > Alan > > > > Limbourg Arnaud wrote: > > Something like > > > > print_r(xdebug_get_function_stack()) > > > > in php.ini > > > > xdebug.output_dir = "c:/" > > > > This is indicated on xdebug website. > > > > > >>I previously reported a crash in go-pear.php at the call of > >>win32DetectPHPSAPI.
