Hi,
I think the id3 support should stay in your etension, too since one might do
some audio editing _and_ want to read/change the id3 info. If we seperate
these parts, one needs to do something like this to edit the file and the
id3 info:
<?php
$file = mp3_open('some.file.mp3');
mp3_do_something($file);
mp3_close($file);
$file = id3_open('some.file.mp3');
id3_set_tag($file, 'foo', 'bar');
id3_close($file);
?>
There I think it's better to have two id3 function sets, maybe with the same
function signatures or is there a way to do some magic like with SimpleXML
and DOM so one can use the same file handle with these two extensions?
Have nice vacations,
johannes
