LOL I was afraid that would start a ruse... <Blub...>

Version 8.0.5.0.0

drive)?
It is not defined on the webserver. There is only an Oracle client
installed., Oracle itself runs on another machine.
Mind you. All other ODBC and OLEDB including SQL plus run trouble free on
this machine it uses the tnsnames.ora file to config the connection to the
database.
On the database server ORACLE_HOME is pointed at the e:\orant directory.
(local)

tnsnames.ora is defined : ( IP adres is masked )
# C:\ORANT\NET80\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA Configuration
File:C:\orant\net80\admin\tnsnames.ora
# Generated by Oracle Net8 Assistant
DEMO1.WORLD =

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.x.x)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ORCL))
)
TCP-LOOPBACK.WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ORCL))
)
Access for the ora-client directory has been granted for the IUSR_xxx
account the webserver uses.
This is what i have.
'preciate your help
