Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-10-05 10:43:37] list@firehawksystems.com I just checked in a change to the open_basedir check. I don't think it is a fix for your problems, but it could be. Please try using this CVS snapshot on a non-production machine: http://snaps.php.net/php4-latest.tar.gz For Windows: http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip Thanks, Brian ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-10-02 13:03:09] aw@imos.net Now with an other error message Warning: Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown(/opt/webfarm/www.spypen.com/pic_fullsize_window.phtml): failed to create stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Failed opening '/opt/webfarm/www.spypen.com/pic_fullsize_window.phtml' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0 One more Info: I was running apache1.3.26 + php-4.0.6 + mod_ssl-2.8.3-1.3.26 + openssl-0.9.6b for a long time without any problems. The only thing I changed was an upgrade to openssl-0.9.6g. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-10-02 06:21:54] sniper@php.net Please try using this CVS snapshot: http://snaps.php.net/php4-latest.tar.gz For Windows: http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-10-02 01:57:10] tnowak@triger.com.pl I still have these random errors, but there is better with patch than without patch. I have about few errors per hour at the server with 1MB/s traffic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-10-01 04:23:11] aw@imos.net The patch doesn't work for me. I still have these random errors with "open_basedir restriction in effect....." linux 2.4.7 apache 1.3.26 php 4.2.3 with patch applied It happens at all servers ( named-based, ip-based, with or without open_basedir option set) php compiled with ./configure --with-apache=/usr/local/src/apache --with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql --enable-track-vars --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --enable-magic-quotes --enable-ftp --with-openssl=/usr/local/ssle ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
