I think it's worth it in the long run though. There have been some really good ideas thus far. We could setup a list with target configurations and assign a tester to a certain config. Sounds like most people are in favor of running regression tests. We could keep a list of each bug fix that's applicable to each config and when it comes time to test the RC, give each group their list of bugs. They could run appropriate regression tests and try to reproduce the bugs. Then report. I just think it would be better to keep track of who's doing what. jason > -----Original Message----- > From: Andrei Zmievski [mailto:andrei@ispi.net] > Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2000 1:30 PM > To: Jason > Cc: php-dev@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-DEV] We Want Quality > > > On Thu, 29 Jun 2000, Jason wrote: > > I think there should be some sort of structure to RC testing. > Otherwise it > > would seem that you wouldn't really know what was getting > tested and what > > wasn't. > > The problem is setting up that structure.. :) > > -Andrei > * Ethernet n.: something used to catch the etherbunny. * > _______________________________________________________ Site Design, Hosting, and E-Commerce at www.webpipe.net
