So you're using PHP 6.0? ;)

Don't confuse 'supports' with 'the supplied binary is rolled with'. We'll probably roll with 2.10 or 2.12
Yeah I been ranting about what it is 'rolled' with this entire time... Sort of. If it is packed with 2.12 but you /do not build/ with the 2.12 def/overrides
The idea is that if it's rolled with 2.12 it will automatically build with 2.12 defs. If it's rolled with 2.6 it will automatically build with 2.6 defs.
then everything I said is mostly valid since none of the 2.12 features we have done will be available.
I think I just killed your argument...
Though Microsoft quit supporting W95 not sure why anyone else should bother.
I'm not even going to join in on that one. I spent time last month struggling with ICU, which doesn't support MSVC 6 'because it's old'. We have to use MSVC 6 for PHP because Apache uses MSVC 6, you'd have a choice of CLI or CGI otherwise. They do so because it still is the only runtime that works everywhere... changes upcoming in the next years tho'. - Steph
