Rather do something that says your prefered download site is XXX and XXX similar to the apache project? Also something right above the first news article saying something like your closest mirror is XXX might not be a bad thing? Rather than just automatically redirecting? The apache project is using GeoIP for their mirror selection stuff. Not sure if we could find out if we can utilise their GeoIP stuff or get our hands on the db if it's donated seeing that PHP is one of the Apache Software Foundations projects? Maybe Jim can find out seeing that he has 'all the right connections'. Regards --jm
