seriously though.
I think this could be a major concept towards helping opensource
programming less of a spare time - on my employers time thing.
I could envision something like this to be a good addition to existing
packages (feature requests, bug database entries as well). You would
have to have an organization that grabs the money for a certain period
(which the donator can specify) to ensure that the money will actually
be available for the developer that implements the solution. When the
solution is completed there needs to be some sort of mechanism for the
implementor to get to the money. The cool thing about that is what
people could add to the original donator.
