Caught a bit of this - Im not sure centralized paypal is going to do an amazing amount of good..(somebody has to maintain it etc..) - however from having put up paypal dontations on my site (and being very gratefull for those that have donated).. I would suggest a few things if somebody has time to do them:
have a "donate to the author" as an alternative to the wishlist thing.
get the authorlists, wishlists and donate buttons in the manual on the related page (more work for peardoc2 :)
I like the comment about most people only donating when something goes wrong and they need it fixing - there's alot to be said for carefully placed bugs. :)
