Hi,
As Greg suggested, I'd herewith like to give a short introduction about
myself.
I've been with PEAR / "in" PEAR for several years now. Starting as a
user (as usual), I've soon started contributing to some packages, been
on the mailinglists (lately mostly following) and been advocating using
PEAR where possible. In recent years I've been attending several
conferences to man the PEAR-both, held talks on PEAR (newbie
intros/news-updates/howtos) or written articles. And I'm of course glad
to be working for a company which understands my passion for PEAR and
gives some free time for it :-) and actively supports PEAR.
For the PEAR group I see a quite some work which needs to be done and
important decisions to be made - imho which mostly piled up the recent
years. That's the full range from strategical decisions (rules,
representations, new features, marketing, ...) as well as quality
(coding standards, conformance-checks, documentation, ...) and future
planning.
In this context I'd to actively contribute to PEAR's future - together
with the community leading it's way to an up-to-date repository and
channeling-system with excellent recognition and reputation from the
users. I'm 100$ sure PEAR is great already, and has high potential to
still improve - we just need to unleash it's strengths :-) That's where
I hope to be able to help lead the way.
Regards,
Stefan
