A little self-description for those who don't know me yet:
Coming from PHP-Gtk, I'm developer in PEAR since three years now - my
Gtk1 packages were actually the first ones I contributed. In the
meantime PHP-Gtk2 is under development and my objectives changed a bit:
While at the beginning I just did pure coding (the sticker on my screen
was "it was hard to program, so it should be hard to understand"), I see
my tasks in writing documentation and doing QA stuff.
Great packages are not enough if they ain't supported or documented, so
I pick a package now and then and try to either document it, or get it's
bug count down to zero. Or just nerve the devs that don't get their ass
up to fix bugs or write documentation themselves :)
From the package side of PEAR I'm the one writing packages to be used in
desktop applications - although php has been made for servers, I love
not needing to switch programming language not to write desktop apps.
So, in short: I am not scared of boring stuff, and I don't have the
PEAR-packages-are-for-servers attitude.
