If each candidate would be willing to describe their ideals (or specific plans) for moving PEAR forward, this may be helpful for those who are going to be voting.I think I joined PEAR back when there was no website, a few days after Stig Bakken came up with the initial DB code and his newborn daughter. This most likely means that I'm the longest-running active PEAR fellow around. Of course this implies nothing regarding my aptitude as a Group member; still I think I'll be able to get some things done with my future Group mates, of which PEAR should benefit. Unlike other candidates my past work hasn't always been visible to the public because it often involved fixing, configuring and coordinating things regarding our technical infrastructure, the bits and pieces behind the manual, and things like that. I expect to continue this work. Additionally I would like to investigate ways in which we can improve the documentation for PEAR packages. I have been the one who created the peardoc repository and thus I obviously have strong feelings about the manual. I'm intentionally keeping my list of plans short because I believe one can't reliably run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. - Martin
