Debian5 is still using 5.2 in stable repos, 5.3 is available in testing
repos and will jump to stable at the latest when Debian6 is released,
hopefully that happens this year. I do not know exactly what will happen
to Debian5 systems that do not want to upgrade though, maybe 5.2 remains
on those..
RedHat is also scheduled to released this year iirc, which means they
will probably ship 5.3 (and 5.1.6 can die at last).
Cheers,
Jordi
