Latest discussion on PHPLIB mailing list gave me
the impression that PEAR folks are against integrating
PEAR-ified PHPLIB components (because e.g. PEAR already
has a DB class and so on).

This is a bad idea, IMHO. It would decrease PEAR's quality.
