Just don't speak with users like that. I'm the user and one with very little sense of humor and weak english skills. Be polite. Please, DO IT!! NOW!!! Do you like my tone? I guess not. So, why to speak like that? If you have a bad weekend - do something good, have a beer, call you grandma. Relax. Thomas is right that most packages are lacking documentation. You don't accept users in your community and want them to write a docs for you. Just Great! Long live the PEAR! What else can I say? You want to make PEAR better - explain the problem, find a _solution_. If you can't find - explain why. If you want to express _your_ opinion - make it pleasant to read and discuss or go another echo. Users are not as dumb as you think they are. If you want them to be changed - try to explain a problem, find a _solution_. UNDERSTAND??? =) just joking. but the truth is there. If you were intentionally offended - no apologizes can be given to change your attitude. Subconsciously you still be bearing negative feelings. You for me, Thomas for all the PEAR. I guess that first is better that last. What will you do if you have some package refuse to work, you have a limited PHP skills and your time is critical? If developer can't answer your questions you will go read the docs, but when there are no docs you will mail QA. Do you what reply do you recieve? P.S. Thomas, developers just don't have time to document all the stuff they wrote to ease the task of writing this code for you. You can ask them to provide an example personally or ask for it in pear-dev@ lists.php.net If you want to find some of your docs later in some package menu - mail these examples to pear documentation team. Sorry, for discussion. I had the same problems and just want to say, that developers are generally better than they presented here. It is a generous deal to waste your free writing code for the world. You can write it yourself, you can pay smb. to write it for you, but in general nobody can demand from you to write it. There is a word QA on the site. Was a little confusing for me too. I don't know what is it for - it don't want to make PEAR development better, don't want to write the docs. It just have access to everything and don't do anything good. So just don't count on these two letter much. t --
