I don't see your point here. The fact that there is a commercial company
providing commercial tools and services and whatever else for PHP does not
make PHP a commercial product. It never has been commercial and as far as
I am concerned it never will be.
Could someone take PHP and embed it into some sort of application server
and release that as a commercial product? Sure. And it sounds like this
is what Kristian and others are suggesting to Zend Tech that they do.
Please realize that only a very small percentance of PHP developers
reading this mailing list have anything to do with Zend. So quoting a
mission statement written by someone at Zend Tech doesn't have any
relevance here. Talk to Zend Tech about that.
