How do you know that?
so you _can't_ _know_ if OO is far better or not.
I've written quite a few applications using OO in C++ (don't start whining that C++ is a horrible OO language, PHP's object model is definitely not superior; Kristian - please, even if you think I'm wrong about this statement, I don't want to argue about it). I'd argue that even if I didn't, Kristian can't say something to the extent of 'you HAVE to use OO in your 2nd app if you want code reuse'. I can prove this is wrong even without using OO, by showing how it can easily be done in structured languages. OO's primary goal is *abstraction*. This is different from components, by the way, whose primary objective is *binary reuse*. *Code reuse* can be easily obtained in structured languages through the use of libraries.
