How about something like a notes editor? I know I spend a good bit of
time going through the manual and deleting stupid notes and sometimes
adding notes to the manual proper. Obviously, this may not be as worthy
of recognition as some other positions, but it is an important part of
the manual up-keep.
Well, this sounds good to me, but who deserves to be listed as a notes editor is hard to judge for me. A php-notes mailing list membership would probably help in it. There is little sign on the phpdoc list of what a notes editor does (ie. removing notes, editing notes). Only when content is moved to the manual, we see that someone is working on the notes. However note editing is an important thing, so I am positive on adding such a role.
