I would like to suggest something about the credits listing:
Since you've decided to sort in categories what about using a group
email/link instead of an email/link for every one, e.g: authors@php.net
http://authors.php.net editors@php.net http://editors.php.net
techeditors@php.net http://techeditors.php.net etc, so you can put only
names in credits page and you can then put more information about everyone
in their group page.
I don't think anyone would like to get on working with these sites.
I don't think that maintaining sites for these group worth it.
About the email addresses, what the techeditors should consider are
important for the editors and authors too, as it probably affects the build
system, the ground on which the whole system lies. The same can be said
for other email addresses.
Another thing I would like to ask about, I noticed that notes are considered
a part of the manual.. is it ok to translate them too? I know it's a hard
work but I think that notes are very important and IMHO it's not good to
have english notes in a translated manual version.
Translating the notes would not be a good idea IMHO, as it would drive much
time from doing something really worthwile (translating the manual). Notes
are deleted, or integrated to the contents of the manual from time to time.
For every note that is removed (or integrated), the whole translation work
would be 'time trown out on the window' as we say it in Hungary :)
