You may not agree. I receive such emails. Though I am not listed with my email address anywhere on the list. But people spot me out of the php-mirrors list and say: Hey you are the most active webmaster, please put my dear site on your links page. I am -1 on putting any links to authors (website or email).
We might could get away with linking to emails only (i.e. not websites),
and putting a warning message for people to not email individual editors
about issues relating to the manual as a whole (e.g. bugs, etc..). Maybe that's still not enough, but it's just a suggestion.
Well, do you think people read warnings before posting a new user note that the system is not for support questions or it is not a question/answer based forum? You are a note editor yourself, you must know the answer ;)
