Bad form, this exposes the docs to copyright lawsuits. :-(
Just FYI, on the 'About Notes' page, available to all submitters of
notes, it's explained that their note will go under the same license as
the documentation proper.
Well, it depends on the interpreation whether this is good or bad. You can interpret it this way:
- Ah, my note can only be reused if my name is printed along it,
as this is what the Open Publication License says
So the text on the about notes page can be interpreted more then one way. It should clearly state that the user who adds the note gives any right regarding his note to the PHP Documentation Group.
We haven't had any problems with this so far, but we should probably add
a little note. Should I go ahead and do that?
IMHO the whole about notes page should be integrated to the add-note.php page. As the about-notes page is very small, and nearly all the content is important for the submitters, I think that would be ok to go to the add-note page.
