Juste my 2 cents. Because I don't want to start a new troll but IMHO cache is faster when it
is used before the including of ITX (or somethink else...). If you make some benchs, you will
see thats the big cost (for speed) is the include_once('PEAR.php')...
So if you want the best speed with PEAR with output buffering (for example), you have to use
Cache_Lite_Output :-) with for example :
<?php
require_once('Cache/Lite/Output.php');
$cache = new Cache_Lite_Output();
if (!($cache->start('cacheID'))) {
// Cache missed...
// **** MAKING OF THE PAGE ****
include_once('(...)')
include_once('(...)')
(...)
// ****************************
$cache->end();
}
?>
Note the use of include_once AND CERTAINLY NOT REQUIRE_ONCE !!!
With this system, when the page is in cache, you don't include anything else than Cache_Lite
and certainly not PEAR.php which is very heavy (for speed)...
This was only my 2 cents :)
