argh ;) Can we please get rid of this +1 stuff? It's getting really
ridiculous lately IMHO.
About 80% of the mails on this list do not contain more than a +1. The
+1 scheme was only introduced for the name of the package (IIRC), but
some people here think, they have to put their +1 under almost every
mail... Other tendencies lead to "If 5 people agree with me, I can do
whatever I proposed", which is really not helpful. Just invite your
collegues to pear-dev and you have your +5 in 10 minutes...
I agree with Lukas, we have to talk about the future of PEAR. I think, a
web-based voting system wouldn't be that bad (Someone else proposed
already, how this could be done, look in the archives). We really need a
consencus about the future of PEAR (concurrent Packages allowed, who
decides what goes in a package, what happens if packages is abandoned,
etc...) otherwise, we will end up in the same discussions all over
again.
Just my 2 (insert your currency here) anyway
