I agree with that statement.
The PEAR meeting in amsterdam outlined that. The Lite and regular versions
of a package would have the same API. The regular version being more
complete features-wise than the Lite. Both have a reason to live since they
don't implement the same features.
Yavor posts says that quite clearly. By the way, one thing that will be
worked on by the qa team (iirc) is a common naming scheme.
