-1 on having PHPLIB::DB in PEAR.
Having 3 (!) different abstraction layers makes no sense at all. Instead
of putting efforts into this, everybody being interested in the DB part
of PEAR should invest some time into improving the existing solutions
(being PEAR::DB and MDB).
