Hi,
It's nice to see some progress on the package proposal fron, but I think
some of the requirements seem too be be a lot of paperwork. If I have to
propose a package and then call for a vote, this may cause some problems, as
people alwys vote, when a package is proposed. Do these votes count or do I
have to wait some time, then officially call a vote and hope the the people
who liked the package are available during the week of voting time? I think
voting should be allowed from the beginning of the proposal.
Furthemore I think including links to all votes in the archive isn't
necessary, a list of names should be sufficient. Either you trust the
developers or you don't. If you find someone's cheating on PEAR, then remove
his account.
And I don't like it, that the PEAR group has to approve every single
package, this can lead to a lot of work for you guys.
As I saw things like these comming, I changed the my personal proposal
process starting with my current package XML_RDDL. Do you think this is
sufficient to be accepted:

Voting started last Friday, so tomorrow people had one week of voting time.
Do I have to send the information to the PEAR group in a separate mail, or
is it OK, if you take a look at the information I already provided?
If yes, then please have a look at it and tell me if you approve or not.
Stephan
