IMO, that's just an unintended mistake that Vincent made when he started
using PEAR CVS, because he didn't do it again for Archive_Zip. Remember how
you messed with your first commits (in Validate for example...). If I hang
myself by the balls to a tree, will you do the same ? (I like the image :)
Anyway, feel free to do whatever you please.
I am not here to do the Polizei and PEAR Group didn't express a strong
opinion against your proposals. So, yipee, let's f*ck up the tree ! :)
