I agree. Cvs.php.net is a repository for a *big* number of developers
and we simply can't afford going with more than one directory structure
there. The current one has been there for years and it seems to have
worked out for most people in pretty much the same way than the
Tabs-vs.-Spaces issues did.
In my not so humble opionion the benefits of adding a new structure is
out of all proportions to the wtf-dr [1] factory.
Even if it sounds harsh (though it isn't intended to be), if people
don't like how things are managed on cvs.php.net, they might want to
consider using another CVS service (SourceForge, Tigris et.al) instead.
