I completely understand. I'm not worried so much about the 'how', just the point of whether another repository for frameworks makes sense. If that is the case then using as much of the PEAR foundations that can be used make a lot of sense. Anyway, I'll hold off on further questions for now until I hear from Greg. Keeping in mind it can be useless (or waste of time now), you can provide your own configuration settings for PAL. And use the pear command as pal command, you only have to give the correct master server and follow some pear standarts, as most of them are part of the installer for now. --Pierre
