Hi!

I have taken the liberty to email the current lead of PHPlib to get an update and see if there are possible alternatives to continue development. That said it is pretty different then IT, Sigma and Flexy/Xipe.If I remember the whole history correctly, PHPLib is kinda the ancestor of IT, the package itself is *very* old, the H_T_PHPLib is just a PEARified version of it. I think it was only added to PEAR (back then!) for BC reasons. Its functionality is quite limited compared to IT / Sigma, for example you won't be able to create an equivalent of renderers for QuickForm or Menu for PHPLib, as the engine does not have any introspection methods.
