Greg Beaver (http://pear.php.net/user/cellog) has commented on the proposal for XML::XML_RPC2 (reproposal). Comment: we do need a fallback, Sergio and I have talked about this, and I suggested a single-method fallback cut-paste from PEAR_Remote, which is better than waiting for a full-blown dependency.
