You're absolutely right. What a new major version needs is peer review,
not a vote.
Since PEPr doesn't allow retracting votes, I'm officially retracting
mine after talking with Pierre on #pear.
This is not to be construed as saying that I disagree with the code or
anything. Sergio simply didn't go about it the right way.
