Hi,

You are absolutely right, for background you should really read the archives of pear-dev circa beginning of 2003. There was a package [1] Pierre was "maintaining" (he is not the original author) and he didn't want anyone on his "turf". This led to a massive flamewar and a new package [2] in PEAR, accepted over his head by popular vote. So Pierre just carries on his personal crusade through these years. You can safely ignore him, I suppose. [1] http://pear.php.net/package/HTML_Template_IT [2] http://pear.php.net/package/HTML_Template_SigmaSergio, could you please wait for Dan's comments?I'm waiting on Dan's comments. I don't really understand the big problem being waved around here. I called the vote to get public review on the package, and this act seems to have upset Pierre for reasons I can't understand. Dan doesn't seem upset, and frankly this is starting to smell like some kind of personal war of Pierre.
