Sorry, I do not feel I have done nothing wrong. Daniel hasn't said he
feels wrongdoing about this either. He expressed his desire to comment
on the package, and I replied he is welcome to do so.
I'm sorry if this sounds like a turf war. I'm not interested in turf
wars. This is a package proposal, not a world domination scheme. If you
wish to remove the proposal before others can discuss it, I will not
react, and I will not re-propose the package.
I can cope with technical discussion. I proved it in the past, and
adapted XML_RPC2 to correct mistakes PEAR developers pointed in my
approach. I can't and refuse to cope with political arguments. This is
politics, and it is sad if PEAR loses good code on political grounds.
I repeat: I have done everything by the book. I checked there was no
intention of XML_RPC developers of writing a PHP5 version, and got the
ok of one of them. I don't care if Daniel feels offended by this (I
don't even believe he feels offended, as he didn't say a word about it).
All in all, you're creating what we here call a "storm in a glass of water".
However, if you do have the power to kill the proposal and you think
you're doing the right thing, who am I to prevent you? By all means, go
ahead.
Cheers,
