For the love of BOB NO!!! :) The last thing we want to do is further push out the standard. CORBA. CORBA was the standard at the time when Microsoft desided to take an attempt on CORBAs life with COM, and it was marginally successfull, but didnt utterly enialate CORBA like MS wished. I consider MS pushing SOAP to be another attempt at taking CORBA's life. This time around, if we're not carefull and we embrace SOAP, CORBA will die, and SOAP will become Microsofts propriatary play thing just like all the other protocols MS has embraced/extended/crushed.
